Food Security

Food security was one of the sustainability development goals set forward by the UN Commitee. Food security is the condition in which all people, at all times, have physical, social and economic access to sufficient safe and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life.

Window gardens can help with reaching food security because they require minimal space or use space that would not have been used otherwise such as a wall or window. Window gardens can be made out of recycled materials reducing your carbon footprint and makes food accessible and available in a variety. That is what we plan on doing. Finding a creative and sustainable way to grow safe and nutritious food that can also be a fun hobby.
